Public hearing by Attorney General on proposed merger between two hospitals scheduled for Sept. 28

Jeffeson City, Mo. — Attorney General Jay Nixon will hold a public hearing in Cape Girardeau on Monday, Sept. 28 to take comments on the proposed merger of Southeast Missouri Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center.

The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. and be held in the Osage Community Centre, 1625 N. Kingshighway, Cape Girardeau. Anyone wishing to give comments at the hearing should contact the Attorney General's Office in Cape Girardeau in advance at (573)290-5679.

Written comments also will be entered into the record and may be submitted to the Attorney General's Office, Attention: Trey Hanna, P.O. Box 899, Jefferson City, MO 65102
