Waynesville, Mo. — A former Miller County jailer pleaded guilty today to two criminal charges brought by the Attorney General's Office in connection with a corruption investigation into the Miller County jail and the Miller County Sheriff's Department.
Trevor J. Plemmons, age 20, of Crocker, pleaded guilty in Pulaski County Circuit Court to two counts of acceding to corruption. The case was heard in Pulaski County on a change of venue.
The charges, filed in March, stated that Plemmons took cash payments in exchange for permitting cigarettes to be delivered to inmates and accepted sexual contact from a female inmate in exchange for permitting her to leave her cell, enter the guard tower and engage in sexual relations.

The charges against the remaining defendants are merely accusations; as in all criminal cases, the defendants are presumed innocent until or unless proven otherwise in a court of law.
