Nixon sues author of racist Internet Web site for deceptively soliciting funds in the name of hurricane relief
September 7, 2005 Attorney General Nixon, Harold Crumpton, president of the St. Louis NAACP, and Terry Bloomberg, president of the Jewish Community Relations Council of St. Louis, announce Nixon's lawsuit against a St. Louis man who claimed donations to several Web sites he set up would help Hurricane Katrina victims. The man did not tell consumers their donations were going through the same Web site that took donations from other racist and anti-Semitic Web sites he also operated.
