Attorney General presents check from fraud settlement to St. Louis pediatric hospital
November 16, 2006 Attorney General Jay Nixon gave a $5,000 check resulting from a consumer fraud settlement to Ranken Jordan Pediatric Specialty Hospital in Maryland Heights. The Nov. 16 news conference was attended by representatives of several St. Louis-area police departments; the departments were instrumental in providing information to the Attorney General's Office on the case, which involved a fundraiser misrepresenting that he was with the police. At left, 10-year-old Kwan, a patient at the hospital, gave a brief speech thanking the Attorney General and area police for the money, and presenting them with gifts handmade by children at the hospital.
