Missouri high school students have opportunity during Webcast to hear from, ask questions of Attorney General
January 24, 2007 More than 600 students from 30 high schools across Missouri had a unique opportunity during a 45-minute Webcast on Jan. 24 to not only hear Attorney General Nixon talk about what his office does for Missourians, but also to ask him questions. During the Webcast, Nixon (pictured with moderator Brent Ghan of the Missouri School Boards Association) was asked questions about environmental protection, the Missouri River, the No Call law and several other topics.
The Webcast was part of an educational program called "Checks and Balances: Missouri's System of Separation of Powers." The program is a joint project of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education - Missouri Service Learning, The Missouri Bar, the Missouri School Boards Association, University of Missouri-St. Louis Citizenship Education Center, and SLCC at Meramec Community College.
